Find Your Wild
Mo'orea · 17.5°S
Humpback whales, warm water and a week exploring one of the South Pacific's most beautiful islands.
Mo'orea is one of those places that stays with you. The island is beautiful on its own, but between August and November, the surrounding water becomes a home for humpback whales to come to breed, give birth, and raise their calves.
We spend our days looking for whales, watching their behaviour and entering the water when conditions and local regulations allow. Every encounter is different, and the whales always decide the encounters.
Between ocean days, there's time to explore the island, swim, take in the scenery and enjoy being somewhere completely wild.

What the week looks like
Expect early starts, time on the boat and plenty of time in the water when conditions allow. We'll work with our local team to make the most of each day, while keeping the whales' welfare and everyone's safety at the centre of every decision.
You'll need to be a confident swimmer and bring a wetsuit suitable for whale swims. A scuba or freediving certification isn't required; encounters take place while snorkelling at the surface.

A quick note about wildlife
These are wild animals in open water, not a scheduled attraction. We time our expeditions to give ourselves the best chance of encounters, but sightings and in-water encounters can never be guaranteed. Sometimes the best decision is to watch from the boat and let the whales carry on undisturbed.
